Ford Bandung Awarded Quality Care Accreditation

Bandung, November 23rd 2009 Ford Motor Indonesia (FMI) continues its march to expand and enhance its dealerships across Indonesia with Ford Bandung being the latest outlet to receive the Quality Care (QC) accreditation. This award confirms the dealership’s compliance to Ford’s international standard processes that are designed to enable dealers meet bottom line financial objective as well as high standards of customer satisfaction. This proven program also promotes a healthy and clean working environment to ensure a flawless and smooth customer service process.

“For FMI, we are always enhancing our high quality service,” says Will Angove, President Director of PT Ford Motor Indonesia. “Ensuring availability of thorough sales and after-sales services is one of Ford’s strategies to maximize our loyalty to customers. And we will continue to make sure that customers remain the priority for our dealers and partners.”

Quality Care is a sustainable quality process with standardized metrics that allows Ford Motor Indonesia to track its dealership activities and analyze their performance to help maintain and enhance a complete customer experience. Along with its other dealerships, FMI will continue its support in sustaining the process in Ford Bandung to guide and provide assistance in monitoring the performance as well as consult any possible opportunities for improvements.

After undergoing a change in the ownership, the new owner team of Mr Afu who is a well known credible business man who has a strong understanding of local market with Mr Dradjat Prawira who seizes strong experience within Ford, ensures Ford Bandung to be able to serve the local market at best.

This recent certificate represents the results of the continued hard work of the new owners Afu and Dradjat Prawira. Their long term dedication towards customer assurance for after sales and strong understanding of local market has raised Ford Bandung’s contribution towards the national Ford sales to a year to date (October 2009) 2.0%, which is much higher than the 0.9% total from the previous year. The Ford Everest remains the most popular Ford vehicle for Bandung, holding a year to date 8% market share in PMA Bandung West Java.

“Ford Motor Indonesia is very confident of the West Java market on bringing its contribution despite the global economic downturn,” Will Angove continued. “To date Ford Motor Indonesia sales for the country has been promising, as we recently celebrated our best sales quarter ever since 2002, with FMI car sales for the third quarter of 2009 up to 9.6% from the same period last year. Thus, through this dealership and new leadership, we would like to continue to enhance our service by contributing to the Indonesian automotive market to provide best class vehicle and high quality service and after sales.”

Moving forward, FMI is preparing to welcome the Ford Fiesta in 2010. Ford Motor Indonesia believe that Ford Fiesta has the potential to impress Indonesian market, as it will have class leading feature that will change the map of Indonesian automotive market. The New Ford Fiesta itself is the number one selling vehicle since its launch in October 2008 and is also Europe’s No. 2-selling car.
